Features/Specifications

There are three basic designs of the motorcycle hitches: Visible; Removable; and Hidden Removable.

1. The visible hitch is shown in the top oval insert photo of the photo showing the hitches. All the visible and removable models are easy to install, but if you don't want to remove the hitch after each time you use it, then it will be visible all the time. The visible hitches will usually be chrome plated, or some may be black powder coated, and have some vertical braces which usually attach to the seat bolts that are aluminum flat bar material. If you are going to take a trip once or twice a year, then you can easily remove the visible hitch everytime you use it and put it back on. If you will use it every week end during the season you will want to leave it on.

Most visible hitches look like the top insert photo; there is a model however with big wide chrome decorative sides as shown in the second insert from the top. This hitch is exclusively for some Harley Models and is the most noticable of any of the hitches.

2. The removable hitch will be semi-permanent with all exposed parts that are visible being chrome plated, or if the part is semi-hidden behind a saddlebag brace, will be in some cases black powder coated. The part that is clearly visible the ball and tongue will be chrome plated, and easily removable with 4 bolts so that unless you look closely, a hitch without the ball and tongue will be unnoticable by most.

3. The Hidden Removable hitch will have the braces hidden inside the fender well and will usually require the removal of the rear wheel during installation; we consider this semi-permanent for most except hard-core mechanics that don't mind removing the rear wheel all the time.
